Careers at Vitality Healthcare Services
Build a Meaningful Career in Children’s Residential Care
At Vitality Healthcare Services, we believe that high-quality care begins with skilled, compassionate and well-supported professionals. We are always interested in hearing from individuals who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people aged 8–17.
Based in Chelmsford, Essex, we provide specialist residential care for young people with complex needs. Our team plays a vital role in creating stable, safe and nurturing environments where young people can begin to rebuild trust, confidence and emotional wellbeing.

Why Work with Vitality Healthcare Services
Working in children’s residential care is challenging, but it is also deeply rewarding. At Vitality Healthcare Services, we foster a supportive workplace culture that values professionalism, safeguarding and continuous learning.
Our approach is trauma-informed and clinically led, meaning staff are guided by clear frameworks, consistent leadership and evidence-based practice. You will be supported to understand behaviour as communication and to respond with empathy, structure and confidence.
Roles Within Our Residential Services
We recruit for a range of roles within our children’s residential services in Essex, including residential support workers, senior staff and specialist care roles. All positions involve working directly with children and young people to provide day-to-day care, emotional support and positive role modelling within a residential setting.
Regardless of role, all staff are expected to uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, professionalism and care practice.
Training, Development and Support
We are committed to investing in our staff. From induction onwards, you will receive structured training and ongoing development opportunities designed to build confidence, competence and career progression.
Training covers core areas such as safeguarding, trauma-informed care, behaviour support, de-escalation, record keeping and professional boundaries. Staff also benefit from regular supervision, reflective practice and access to experienced leadership.
Safeguarding and Professional Standards
Safeguarding is central to everything we do. All roles are subject to safer recruitment practices, including enhanced DBS checks, references and thorough vetting processes.
We expect all staff to share our commitment to creating safe environments, promoting the welfare of children and young people, and working in line with statutory guidance and organisational policies.
Who We Are Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people and who demonstrate empathy, resilience and professionalism. Previous experience in children’s care or related sectors is beneficial, but we also recognise transferable skills and provide training for those new to residential care.
A willingness to learn, reflect and work as part of a team is essential.
